Ruby Rabbit is an American-born actor, writer, artist and Youtuber.  She is currently based in Sydney, Australia and does all her creative work independently.  She has extensive skills and experience in theatre performance, theatre production, video editing, video production, photography, music (including flute, alto sax and vocals) and theatre/drama education for kids.

 

Ruby has completed 8 consecutive years worth of acting training at various institutions, including TAFE where she recived a TAFE certificate in Media and Performance, and AADA (the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art) from which she graduated in 2009, with an Advanced Diploma in acting.  She taught drama to primary school-aged children as part of OOSH (Out Of School Hours) during school terms throughout her time at AADA, and worked with the ATYP (Australian Theatre for Young People) during the school holidays as an assistant instructor.

 

Ruby has freelanced in theatre and independent film, and has also begun building a Youtube channel, since.  She is also currently working on several fantasy and sci-fi novels as well as a collection of related short stories.  She plans to release illustrated versions of some of these short stories onto Youtube in the near future.

Ruby Rabbit does all of her own writing, directing, editing, lighting, hair and make-up, set and costume design.  She very much enjoys the DIY elements involved in putting together a piece, whether it's a video or a play and loves to share it with the world when things go wrong.  Her sense of humor is heavily influenced by The Simpsons, Family Guy and Rick and Morty and she's not shy about admitting to being a former Emo.
